Think about it…Choose your weapon

There are many ways to win a battle. Have you noticed how often prayer was used as an effective weapon. Now, listen, I said the weapon of prayer not praying for a weapon but using prayer as a weapon.

“Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1

Paul said, “continue in prayer” and “pray without ceasing”

Before Jesus greatest moments, He spent time in prayer. He prayed and then fed 5,000. He prayed and then walked on water. He prayed and then carried His cross to Calvary. He prayed and then died for our sins.

I have heard it said to pray as if everything depends on God and as if everything depends on you! But I have learned that in those moments in life where all you can do is pray God will do the rest.

Jesus tried so hard to help us see how powerful this weapon of prayer could be if taken into battle by believers. “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer".

The weapon of prayer will defeat the enemy of depression, fear, hatred, loneliness, failure, temptation, sin. It will keep you humble in victory and strong in defeat. Prayer opens doors when there seems to be no opportunity. Prayer has led to many answers to unanswerable questions. Prayer has replaced ignorance with wisdom. Prayer has given enthusiasm in moments of self-pity. Prayer has given confidence in times of doubt. Prayer has turned bitter hate into genuine love. Prayer will make you better than you really are.

Jesus pleads with us to take up this weapon of prayer. I tell you the truth; my father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. ASK and you will receive, and your JOY will be complete.
